Here
are some basic ways to identify counterfeit Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARDS:
Cards
stating that they are manufactured in China or are printed in the Chinese
language ARE NOT authentic. Official Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARDS are only
printed in the following languages: English, Spanish, French, French-Canadian,
German, Italian, Portuguese, and Japanese.
The
hologram located in the lower right-hand corner should have the Eye of
Anubis located on it. The foil that is used can sometimes be scraped off
with a fingernail or is put on the card incorrectly.

The
coating on the cards that Upper Deck utilizes is not unlike that of a
deck of playing cards. Counterfeits often use "shiny" coating
with many layers applied to make the card "feel" thicker.

The
back of the card should have Konami® in the top left hand corner and
Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME located in the bottom right-hand corner. No
markings whatsoever are a good indication of counterfeit.
